1940s hat straw hat navy blue tilt hat Valerie Mode New York Creation Breton hat summer hat

This 1940s straw hat is a really cute tilt breton style, with upturned brim that is wider in front than back. Made by Valerie Mode New York Creations. There is a black chin strap attached. There is also a net veil which has been fashioned into a strap or a band. It is attached on one side but not the other. It could be wrapped around the crown, which I think it was it was originally.

The inner circumference is 17". On the outside, the crown is 5.5" in diameter. Front to back, the hat is 11"
